The University of South Florida (USF) Ice Bulls faced off against the University of Central Florida (UCF) Knights the night of January 5, 2019. The Ice Bulls were victorious over the Knights winning 6-3, and ending up 3-1 in their games with the Knights for the 2018-19 Southern Conference in the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA).

During this game I served as camera-man and worked the on screen graphics, the camera used was a Panasonic AG-150 camcorder. After the game, I created the highlights reel, including cutting down the original broadcast in Adobe Premiere CC 2019 to just the USF goals, selecting highlight audio from the announcers Wade and Kevin using Adobe Audition CC 2019, and packaging it for Youtube and Facebook.

I had created the transitions in the highlights package earlier using Blender v2.79, all of the transitions are 60p and last 2 seconds with the 1 second mark being the time for the video behind to cut. The Ice Bulls graphic came from the original AI file, and was converted to an SVG so it could be imported to Blender. Using the Cycles render engine, the materials were defined for each of the colors of the logo, the black and white parts being diffuse materials, and the gold parts were made using the principle shader to have a metallic look. I made a stylistic change so that the outer border of the logo was more of an icy material than the gold outline. The sequence was rendered at 2560×1440, twice the resolution of 720p video, and then scaled down in Adobe Premiere.
