I was lucky enough to take this gigapixel image from a friend’s balcony during a party in his high-rise apartment. This is my second Gigapan, taken using the Gigapan Epic Pro and my Nikon D5100, combining 416 photos into a 978 megapixel image. I edited the photos a little in Lightroom to even the exposure a little, and then stitched the photos in Gigapan Stitch.
I learned a few things shooting this Gigapan, bring a big enough memory card so you can shoot in raw, make sure the shutter speed on the camera and Gigapan unit are close so as to not to waste time waiting for the Gigapan to move, and bring an extra battery for the Gigapan.
